Easy Repair and Construction of Columns

MoTubes^TM consists of very strong Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) sheets with a smooth finish surface. The sheets are up to 9 feet (2.75m) wide and 500 feet (150m) long. To build a tube having a circumference equal to ”p”, a length equal to 3p or longer is cut from the long rolls. This sheet is wrapped around itself to create a 3-ply tube. The tube is held in this position with a few ties or tape. No adhesive is required. Note that these ties do not contribute to the strength of the tube. Instead, it is the normal force from the hydrostatic pressure of the grout and the friction between the layers that gives the tube its strength. Once the concrete is set, the MoTubes^TM sheet can be removed and saved for future use to make tubes of same or different sizes.
